Care Ministries

In the journey of life, we need all the love and support we can get...both from God and others. Life wasn't meant to be lived alone. In fact, God often manifests His presence through others and calls us to community.
Being “God’s hands, feet and heart” is the very purpose of our Care Ministry. We have many ways that we partner with and to minister to our congregation and to the community, through small group bible studies, practical care, support groups, hospital and home visitations and provide care and support during exciting times when a new baby is born.
If you need to be raised up in prayer or just need a hand to hold, please reach out here.

Small Groups are a great way to build friendships and grow in Christ. Our Small Groups either build around our life journey (transitions, family, work, etc.) or our faith journey (Discipleship/ Bible Study). There are groups  for couples as well as for men and women who meet weekly or bi-monthly.
We also have the following support groups that meet for 13 weeks a year: GriefShare, DivorceCare, and Single Parenting.
To connect to a Small Group, click the link below or call the church office and we’ll be happy to introduce you to a group facilitator.

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.

That’s the reason for GriefShare, a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.

Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. These videos also include on-location video and the real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours.

After viewing the video, you’ll participate in a small group discussion about what you’ve seen on the video. You’ll also have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, learn about their experiences and have the opportunity to share your own.

GriefShare is a non-denominational group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. Please join us for the next GriefShare session starting October 6, 2022.
Please contact Shauna at the church for more information and to register (306.773.4889). You can also register on the GriefShare website HERE.

Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you’ve never faced before. DivorceCare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each session has two distinct elements:

A Seminar with Experts:
During the first 30–40 minutes of the meeting, each DivorceCare group watches a video seminar featuring top experts on divorce and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies and on-location video.

A Support Group with Focus:
After viewing the video, DivorceCare group participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in the lives of group members.
The next session will begin on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. The group will meet at The Center (55 1st Ave NE) from 7:15 to 8:30 pm weekly.
